Band Boosters
The Cario Band Boosters are the proud parents and families of the Cario Bands Program students, with the following mission:
- To generate and foster an enthusiastic interest in the Cario Bands Program;
- To provide support to the Band Program staff and students;
- To promote artistic excellence and operational efficiency within the Program;
- To engage in such fundraising activities as are required to support the needs of the Program.
The Boosters fulfill these objectives by providing organizational, operational, administrative, and financial support to the Cario Bands Program, its directors and students. Our services are provided on a strictly volunteer-basis through a network of band parents, and include:
- Creating and maintaining a database of students and families in the Program, and publishing Program information for their benefit through various media, to include the Cario Bands web site;
- Providing volunteers for the logistical needs of all Program performances and events, both on-campus and off, to include hospitality, stage crew, transportation, and parent chaperones as needed;
- Assisting with administrative needs in the Band Room as requested by the Director, to include grading, filing, copying, and anything else that promotes the Director's program and agenda;
- Designing and implementing an annual fundraising strategy to support the on-going and increasing needs of our rapidly growing Program, and acting as a fiscal agent for the financial operations of the Program.
The Cario Band Boosters are a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization under section 501(a) of the Internal Revenue Code.
The Cario Band Boosters have a Sales Tax Exemption Certificate from the State of South Carolina Department of Revenue.
