6th Grade Carowinds Trip
Sign-ups for the Carowinds trip are Tuesday, Feb 1st from 8 - 8:30 a.m. at the band room.
Spring Flower Fundraiser
Packets will come home with students on Tuesday, Feb 1st. Last chance this year for student account credit. Students will receive $7.50 in their accounts for every flat sold, assuming the fundraising supplement has been met. This fundraiser is in conjunction with Cedar Creek Nursery on Hwy 17 right here in Mount Pleasant. Flats have 18 plants each in 3" pots. Varieties include begonias, impatiens, portulaca, marigolds, petunias, and vinca. This was an easy sell last spring - everybody plants spring flowers - and these are locally grown and fresh from the greenhouse! Look for your fundraising packet on Tuesday!
Booster Meeting
The 2nd business meeting of the Band Boosters is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb 22nd at 7 p.m. in the gym. (Please note the date change - meeting was originally scheduled for Tuesday, Feb 15.) We will be handing out prizes for the pie and fruit fundraisers, in addition to awarding a prize package to one lucky platinum level ($100) "Boost the Band" contributor. The preliminary agenda for the meeting will be stapled to the front of the flower fundraising packet. If you'd like to be more involved in the band program next year, now's the time to start thinking about it. Most of us currently serving have been on the job for 2 years now - time to bring in some new faces and fresh ideas! Please call or e-mail me, or any other board member, if you're interested and want more information.
