Summer Band Camp
Monday, July 18th through Thursday, July 21st from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Cost for the full camp = $50. All other details to follow. Need a head count for planning purposes, so please sign-up asap, and before the end of the school year. Thanks. Sign-up form link below.

Q & A: Best of the 2005 Cario Bands CD
Will it happen? We hope and think so, technical difficulties not withstanding.
Will it represent all the bands? Yes - Beginner, Concert, Symphonic, & Jazz Bands.
What will be on it? Don't know yet - we're still reviewing everything we have for the year.
When will it be ready? Best guess - by band camp in July.
How will it sound? We took last year's CD to a recording studio and had it digitally re-mastered - it sounded great.
What if it doesn't happen for some reason? For departing students, we'll refund your money. For returning students, we'll either refund your money or credit your student account with your payment, at your preference.
What's the deadline? Last day of school - as with the beach bash and the band camp, we need a general idea of how many to plan for.
Should I go ahead and order it? Absolutely, and get one for the grandparents, too - great gift!
How much is it? $10 for the cd, plus $2.50 shipping/handling if you want it mailed, rather than having your student pick it up in the band room either at band camp or the first week back in August.

Website Updates
Our website will continue to be updated over the summer weeks, so be sure to check it out once in a while to see if there's anything "New & Notable," such as band camp details as we get closer to those mid-July dates. We'll also post the Fact & Fee Day schedule as soon as it's released.
The website will undergo a complete overhaul at some point over the summer, so if it's "down," don't panic! Just check back after a day or so, and it's guaranteed to appear before your very eyes, with some good "get ready for the new school year" info, and hopefully the debut of our photo gallery. Take some time to browse through the 2005 - 06 band handbook once it's posted - it is revised and updated each summer.
Curtain Call
This is probably my last set of announcements for the school year. I say probably because, well, you never know... I'm sure I'll send something out as we get closer to band camp, so be watching for that. If you change your e-mail address over the summer, or any other critical contact information, PLEASE let me know that. The roster is a nightmare at the beginning of the year with all those brand-new 6th graders to add - if we keep up with our returning students over the summer, it makes our job much easier. I'm pretty much here this summer - you all know where to find me.
