Required Forms!
We're working hard on our database, but have only 105 out of 257 sets of forms on file, so if you haven't turned in your band forms yet, (all 6 of them!), PLEASE do so ASAP! If you've lost your forms, you can print them directly from our website -- cariobands.org.
BoxTops Contest Ends Next Week!
Our "Summer Fun with BoxTops" contest ends next week on Wednesday, August 25th. All contestants must submit their box tops, (sealed envelope or ziploc bag with student's name included!!!), to the BoxTops receptacle in the band room no later than end of school day on August 25th! Prizes will be awarded to our top collectors the following week, so be sure to turn yours in!!
Spirit Savers Fundraiser
Our Spirit Saver Coupon Books are selling like hotcakes! Order forms and payments, (sealed envelope with student's name!), may be placed in the band payment box in Mr. Scott's office any time between now and Tuesday, August 31st. Students will receive a packet with their coupon books, their order form, and their prize money on Thursday, September 2nd. For every 10 books sold, that student will receive $20 cash! If we oversell our initial stock of 300 books, we will need 2 additional days to re-stock, and if we oversell the re-order, we'll actually have to re-print, which takes about 10 days. We've never done this one before, so bear with us as we get a handle on demand versus supply. We have to pay for every book we order, so we're trying to be cautious, but from everything I've heard from the kids, this might be the most successful fundraiser we've ever had! Thanks for your support!
Lollipop Sales!
Our first lollipop sale for the current year is next week! On Thursday and Friday, August 26th and 27th, parent volunteers will be on the carpool loop and the bus loop after school with our famous gourmet lollipops! Please send your band student with $1 to support the sale!
Wando vs. Colleton
Wando HS kicks off its football season next week on Friday, August 27th. This is a "home" game at the old Wando stadium. The Bands of Wando have been working since mid-July on their half-time show, and this will be their premier performance! I hear it's spectacular! One Wando football performance can be used to fulfill one of the 3 concert-requirements for the fall semester, so go watch the Wando show and see what's in store for your future Wando Warrior!
