Tuxedos Are Here and Distributed!
Tuxedos were sent home this week with your student. There have been a few orders and sizes that have been mistakenly mixed up, so please be sure your student tries the tuxedo on prior to this week's concert. If you have any problems, please contact After-Hours Formalwear in Citadel Mall at 763-1865.
This Week's Rehearsal Schedule for 7th Graders & Percussion Ensemble
- Monday, November 7th: 3:30 - 5:15 p.m.
Fall Concert
The fall concert will be Tuesday, November 8th in the Cario gym at 7PM. The 7th grade band, 8th grade band, and jazz band will be performing. Call time is 6:15 pm in the band room for students -- you must be in full uniform (tux with black shoes and socks). Girls must have their hair pulled back if it is long and may only wear one pair of stud earrings.
Sixth graders -- this is a great opportunity to get one of your two (or three if you're trying for the 6th Grade Honor Medal) concert requirements for the semester out of the way. Plus, you get to hear what you'll be sounding like in just a short time -- it's awesome!
Concert Volunteers
All concert volunteers please plan on meeting in the gym at 5:30 p.m. to begin set-up for the Fall Concert. Thank you for volunteering your time and assisting with the concert events for the evening, any questions, please contact Joanna Hoover at hospitality@cariobands.org.
Lollipop Sales for November
Lollipops will be sold before and after the fall concert, in addition to the monthly sale during lunch on Thursday, November 10th and Friday, November 11th. Please contact our lollipop moms to assist with these sales at lollipops@cariobands.org.
Pie Sales Wrapped up!
Thank you for supporting the pie fundraiser. Once again, the students have done an awesome job! The final sale results and prize winners will be announced within the week. Don't forget the Fruit Sale continues until November 18th, with cash prize awards also given for the top fruit sales.
Upcoming Concert Opportunity
A great concert requirement opportunity is coming up for all of our students on Thursday, November 17th. The Wando High School Band will be performing their Winter Concert at the Wando Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m.
Spring Trip to Florida
This week Mr. Scott sent home information concerning the spring trip for the 7th & 8th grade students. Please check with your student for this information and registration form.
