Sudler Cup-Concert Programs from 2006 needed
Thanks to all of you who sent in music for our Sudler Cup nomination. Mr. Scott is now in need of programs you may have from 2006 for Cario Band perfomances, Region and especially All State concerts. If you have originals, that would be great but we will take whatever you have from that year. Please look through your scrapbooks and boxes and send them in.
All County, Region and All State Registration
The registration forms for these events have been passed out in class. If you have not seen it, please ask your student. This form must be signed by a parent and returned by October 23rd. Please check the dates of these events carefully to ensure there are no conflicts.
Pie and Fruit Fundraiser
Our Fall Fundraiser will begin Friday, October 16th. Packets will be passed out in class. This is a great opportunity to supplement your band account. A percentage of the profits from your student's sales for these two fundraisers will be deposited in your student's account for band fees and trips. The pies will arrive in time for Thanksgiving. The fundraiser will end October 27th so students will have this weekend and the following long weekend to participate in this fundraiser.
Florida Trip
Florida Trip information for 7th & 8th graders was handed out last week in class. Registration forms are now being accepted for the trip. Students are registrered on a first come first served basis, providing the student meets the trip criteria as outlined in the handout. All registrations and deposits are due Nov. 1st. If you want to participate in this trip, please turn your form and deposit into Mr. Scott as soon as possible.
Box Tops for Education - Please sign up
Box Tops for Education is offerring an easy way for Cario Band to earn box tops.
For every new sign up added, we earn bonus Box Tops. If you would like to participate, please send your name and email address to our Box Top coordinator, Barbara Orrell-Jones at
orrelljones@comcast.net (the form must be completed and submitted on-line by Barbara). Basically,
by doing this you will allow the Box Tops company to contact you directly with their promotions and
special offers. You are able to decline your participation when they contact you.
Please keep sending your Box Tops and Campbell's/Prego labels in--they are accumulating quickly!

New Private Lesson Instructor
