October 29th Concert Cancelled
The 8th Grade concert scheduled for this Thursday has been cancelled. The next concert will be Tuesday, November 17th at 7 p.m. in the gym. 8th grade Jazz and Percussion will be performing.
Scrapbook and Computer Skills Needed
Mr. Scott is working on Cario Band's submission for the Sudler Cup award. Part of the submission package must include a scrapbook of programs, photos and other information. Mr. Scott has the material to put in the scrapbook and is looking for a talented scrapbooker to put this together. It's got to look really good for the judges! The submission package needs to be in shortly so we need your help quickly. Please contact president@cariobands.org if you can help.
Mr. Scott is also looking for someone to print the band's logo onto the cd's that he will submit for the Sudler Cup. If you have the software to do this, please email president@cariobands.org and we will get the band logo to you.
Pie Fundraiser
All pie orders and money MUST be in by this Friday, October 30th. This is an absolute deadline in order to have the pies delivered before Thanksgiving. Don't miss out by being late! You still have a few more days to participate in this fundraiser. Pie pick-up will be November 18th at the Brickyard Clubhouse from 3:00-6:30 p.m. Pies must be picked up by 6:30 as there is no freezer storage at the clubhouse.
The fruit fundraiser continues through November 16th. Forms and photos are available on the home page of cariobands.org.

Registration for these auditions is now closed. Best of luck to all who registered.
Spring Florida Trip
The spring trip to Florida is May 20-23rd. Students will be participating in the Disney Fine Arts Youth Program "You're Instrumental". This trip includes a three night stay at an Orlando hotel, transportaion, meals, and admission to Disney World parks. Please turn in your registration form and deposits by November 2nd to join the spring trip. The deadline to confirm hotel rooms is approaching and we need to know how many rooms to reserve. There is still space on the trip available, don't delay!
Band Fee Payment Due
The second band fee payment of $50 is due Friday, October 30th. Checks and cash may be deposited in the lockbox in Mr. Scott's office or mailed to Cario Band Boosters, 1121-B Park West Blvd., Box 224, Mount Pleasant, SC 29466. Please be sure to include on the memo line of your check your student's name and the purpose of the check. If you are sending in cash, please put it in an envelope marked with the student's name and purpose of the payment. If you have already paid your band fee of $175 in full or are fundraising to pay the band fee, the payment schedule does not apply.
Say Boo to Drugs!
To wind up Wacky Week at Cario, this Friday, October 29th is Say Boo to Drugs day. The theme is wearing orange and black. Why not wear your black Cario Band t-shirt to show you are drug free!
