Congratulations!
To those who auditioned this past Saturday for Region Band, CONGRATULATIONS! You all did a great job. Cario garnered 30 call backs to All State auditions, the most of any school in the region.
All State Auditions
For our students who received a call back to audition for All State:
- Auditions are Saturday, January 23rd. Audition times will be posted when they become available.
- Auditions held at Lexington H.S. in Lexington, SC. You are responsible for transportation for your student to and from the audition.
- Requirements are the same as for Region, neat dress, MUST have original book for solo.
Region Clinic - Forms
Region clinic will be January 26th & 27th at Charleston Southern University. More information about this clinic will be available soon. This is an off campus event. For all students who made Region Band, ALL FORMS are required to be on file with the Boosters in order to attend the clinic. Forms are available for download at cariobands.org/forms/. If you are unsure about the status of forms for your student, please contact Chris Davis at hospitality@cariobands.org or Mary Dinda at uniforms@cariobands.org.
Florida Trip Payment - 7th & 8th Grade
The 1st payment of $125 for the Florida Trip is due on January 13th. Payments may be deposited in the lockbox in Mr. Scott's office or mailed to Cario Band Boosters, 1121-B Park West Blvd., Box 224, Mount Pleasant, SC 29466. Please be sure to include on the memo line of your check your student's name and the purpose of the check. If you are sending in cash, please put it in an envelope marked with the student's name and purpose of the payment. Please remember that students must have ALL their required forms submitted in order to participate in the Florida Trip.
Box Tops and Campbell's Labels
Don't forget to keep clipping those box tops and Campbell's labels.
For those who aren't aware, each box top is worth 10 cents to the band...in cash. When we send in box tops, we receive a check twice a year. Collecting box tops is an extremely easy way to get funding for the band...and it adds up quickly. If every band student sent in only 40 box tops per year, the band would make over $1,000 just like that.
