Wind Ensemble
Rehearsals at 7:15 a.m. Please be on time as there is limited rehearsal time in the morning.
- Thursday, March 11th
- Tuesday, March 16th (No rehearsal on Monday)
- Thursday, March 18th
Reminder! Candy Order Pick Up Next Monday & Tuesday
The See's candy from our spring fundraiser will be available for pick up at the following times:
- Monday & Tuesday, March 15th & 16th
- 8-8:45 a.m. and 3-4:00 p.m.
- Pick up will be in the hallway outside of the band room
If you are able to help with candy pick-up please contact Kim Brower at fundraising@cariobands.org. Think service hours! Orders not picked up will be left in the band room.
Solo and Ensemble Registration - All Grades
If your student would like to perform at Solo & Ensemble, the registration form was sent home with students and is due by Monday, March 15th. This is a performance opportunity for individual students and small group ensembles. Students may register for two events. It is a state sanctioned event, students receive awards for Excellent and Superior performances. Students will receive credit toward honor band for their highest scoring event. Solo & Ensemble is scheduled for April 30th and May 1st and is currently scheduled to take place at Fort Dorchester High School. Please see the form for more information.
Student Account Statements
Student account statements have been sent and all fundraising credits have been posted. All band and instrument fees are due at this time. The final payment for the Florida Trip is due March 15th. If you have any questions, please contact Jill McKay at treasurer@cariobands.org.
Carowind Registration - 6th Grade
The Carowinds trip is May 15th. Registration forms are being sent home Wednesday & Thursday. Students must meet all eligibility requirements to be added to the trip list. Students must have:
- A/B average
- All band fees paid in full
- All required forms turned in
Please contact Mr. Scott if you need to confirm your student's grade eligibility. Contact Mary Dinda at uniforms@cariobands.org with questions.
Don't let your forms & orders get misplaced!
Please instruct your student when they are turning in any band forms (medical, t-shirt & bag orders, trip registrations) to please place them in the marked bins on top of the file cabinets to the right of the band room door. We are finding paperwork in all sorts of places. Thank you for your help with this.
Lollipop Sales
Lollipops will be on sale in the cafeteria this Thursday and Friday, March 11th & 12th. Lollipops are $1 each and come in many great flavors. Remind your student to bring their $$ if they want a treat.
Cario Sports Bags & Cinch Bags for Sale
Sports bags and cinch bags are for sale. Both bags have the Cario Bands logo on them. These bags are very durable and handy to have for the upcoming trips to Carowinds and Florida. Please see the order form for more details and prices. The order due date has been extended to March 23rd. There will only be one order placed, we will not accept orders after that due date.
