Wind Ensemble
Rehearsals at 7:15 a.m. unless otherwise noted. Please be on time as there is limited rehearsal time in the morning.
- Wednesday, March 17th, 3:30-5:30 p.m. (No rehearsal on Monday)
- Thursday, March 18th
- Monday, March 22nd
Spring Concert
- Tuesday, March 23rd at 7 p.m. in the gym.
- 6th Grade Beginner Band, 7th Grade Concert Band and Wind Ensemble will be performing.
- Concert attire required (Black Stagecoach pants and black Cario polo's for 6th grade, black dresses & tuxes for 7th & 8th grade).
Candy Orders
Remaining candy orders not picked up are in the band room. Your student can get them during their class time. They can also be picked up at the Spring Concert. Any candy remaining after the concert will be donated as we cannot continue to store it.
Mini-Camp for Wind Ensemble & 7th Grade Symphonic Band
There will be a mini camp on Friday, March 26th for our final preparations for Concert Festival. 7th Symphonic will meet in the band room from 9 a.m. to noon and Wind Ensemble will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. Please arrange for your student to have lunch prior to or after their clinic time.
Concert Festival - Wind Ensemble & 7th Grade Symphonic
This event is the culmination of our year's preparation. It is an adjudicated contest to evaluate our performance as a musical ensemble. Cario Band has received straight superior ratings (the highest rating) every year they have performed. This is what your student has been working so hard towards throughout the year and at those early morning rehearsals! This year Concert Festival will be held at Burke H. S.
- Wind Ensemble will perform Wednesday, March 31st at 5:45.
- 7th Grade Symphonic will perform Thursday, April 1st at 4:15.
Students will leave from Cario during the school day and travel by bus to Burke H.S. They will return the same way to Cario. A more detailed schedule will be sent in the coming week. They must bring their concert uniforms to school and will change at school prior to boarding the buses. Students will be provided a snack before their performance.
Carowinds Registration - 6th Grade
The Carowinds trip is May 15th. Registration forms have been sent home. Students must meet all eligibility requirements to be added to the trip list. Students must have:
- A/B average
- All band fees paid in full
- All required forms turned in

Please see the order form for more details and prices. The order due date has been extended to March 23rd, you can turn your orders in at the Spring Concert. There will only be one order placed, we will not accept orders after that due date.
