About Our Program
Welcome to the Cario Middle School Bands Program, where "excellence through music" is more than just a motto -- it's a commitment brought to our program by our directors, our students, and our parents alike every single day of the school year and beyond!
The Cario Bands are comprised of more than 325 students in the 6th, 7th, and 8th grades from the Mount Pleasant and Awendaw communities in Charleston County, South Carolina. Our program is available to all Cario Middle School students who express an interest in, and demonstrate an aptitude for, the musical arts. Under the direction of Mr. Jeff Scott, and assisted by Mrs. Susan DuPuis, our students have consistently achieved superior ratings and results at local, regional, state-wide, and national competitions. The Cario Band Boosters, sponsors of our web site, are the proud parents and families of these bright and budding musicians. We are a network of volunteers that provides organizational, operational, administrative, and financial support to the Cario Band Program, its directors and students. We are pleased to present our program and hope that our web site will become a useful planning tool for our band students and families.
