Region Band Clinic ~ February 26-27th
Region Band Clinic will be at School of the Arts Friday, Feb. 26 and Saturday Feb. 27. We could still use a couple of volunteers to help Mrs. Mumford walk the kids from SOA to the Danny Jones Rec. Center about a 1/4 mile away. Mrs. Mumford will be there on her own with about 45-50 students so she will really need help because that is too many students for one person. Please sign up using the Volunteer email that was sent out ( the last one that I finally got right) or email me at president@cariobands.org. Students are responsible for transportation to SOA on Saturday (and should bring a lunch). There will be a concert that Saturday afternoon that you will want to attend.
Concert Festival
There are several dates that the students in either 7th Grade Concert Band or Symphonic Band will have an early morning practice. Most are listed above but if you would like a complete list you can go to forms on the web site and print a copy from there. The days they have morning practice they need to be there at 7:10 so they can start rehearsal promptly at 7:15.
Symphonic Camp ~ March 19th
The 7th Grade Concert Band will practice from 9-Noon this day and the Symphonic Band will practice from 1-4pm. We will send details about lunch soon for those who need it.
Florida trip
Medical forms are due by March 1st. The emergency card is due to the band room by the 1st and the self-medicating form is due to the front office (to Kim Huff) by the 1st.
Carowinds
Be on the lookout this week for the registration form for Carowinds (this is a 6th grade trip). If your child wants to go you will need to fill it out and send it in right away. This is a first come first serve event so you want to return it as quickly as possible.
Box Tops
The Box Tops collection ended last week but if you have some and forgot to send them in I think we would still be able to take them Monday or Tuesday.
