Annual Letter Writing Campaign ~ Address Forms Due Wednesday, August 24th
The Letter Writing Campaign will take place this week! On Friday, August 19th, the students learned about the Campaign, how it works and that the money raised will go into the GENERAL FUND. This is used for instrument repairs, to purchase new instruments, to pay teachers who assist in the classroom, buy books, etc. This has been a HUGE success in the past and we would like to raise even more this year. Address forms were sent home on Friday, August 19th and should be returned by Wednesday, August 24th. Additional copies can be found at http://cariobands.org. Please help your child fill out their forms accurately. Volunteers will be needed in class on Thursday, August 25th and Friday, August 26th to assist the students with completing the letters and addressing the envelopes.
There will be gift certificate prizes for the top two students who send the most letters to legitimate people. Additionally, students who bring in 5 or more addresses will also be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate. This is a great way to support the band, so encourage your students to ask grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors, and friends. Thank you for your support! Please note: Donations to Cario Band Together for Kids are placed in our General Fund. Contributions toward an individual student's fees should be sent separately and are not tax deductible.
Fast Start Clinics

Mandatory Fast Start Clinics ~ Please check in 15 minutes earlier than your time so that we can be ready to start on the hour.
Woodwinds & Percussion ~ Wednesday, August 31st ~ 6:00-8:00pm (be there at 5:45 so we can get started at 6:00)
Brass ~ Thursday, September 1 ~ 6:00-8:00pm (be there at 5:45 so we can start at 6:00)
Drop-off & Pick-up Location: Please use the gym as the drop-off & pick-up location for the safety of our children!
Instruments:
For students that use Cario Band instruments, you will use your school instrument located in the closet. IMPORTANT: You must bring your mouthpiece.
For students that rented instruments from Music & Arts, those instruments will be delivered to the band room on the day of your clinic unless you picked it up from the store.
Bring your Instruments to Class:
Woodwind and Percussion Students should bring their instruments to class starting Thursday, September 1, 2016.
Brass Students should bring their instruments to class starting Friday, September 2, 2016.
