From the President

All together everyone, group-exhale on three…one, two, Three! WHEW! THEY DID IT!

The Symphonic Band and the 7th Grade Band both received straight Superior ratings WITH DISTINCTION at the Concert Performance Assessment festival last Wednesday! This also marks the 30th straight year of superiors for Mr. Scott, tying him for the record in South Carolina. I was incredibly fortunate to hear both performances, and as a parent and an assistant with the group, I could not have been more proud! Also, a resounding HURRAH goes out to our phenomenal Florida Trip Coordinator Charlotte Andersen and the Chaperone Commando team for bringing home every student we took to Florida! Seriously though, I'm still hearing about the laughs, the memories, and the camaraderie that grew in our musicians on the trip - it's a tremendous reward for a season-long job well done! But enough of the accolades and pats on the back…we've got work left to do folks! Back in the saddle…

Solo And Ensemble Update

Our Solo & Ensemble date will be FRIDAY, APRIL 28. Mrs. Mumford will be sending out the assigned times for the groups. All performers must have an original copy of the music for themselves, and an original copy for the judge. If the students are using an accompanist, an original copy is required for that person as well.
