From the President ~ Welcome to Cario Bands 2017-2018!
Each week you will receive the From The Band Room ("FTBR") announcements via email. The information in the FTBR is timely, detailed and important. Please make sure you read through the entire message. We will keep you up-to-date with changes to events and schedules and pass along band announcements from the Directors. The FTBR can be lengthy at times; however, this minimizes the amount of emails I have to return (hopefully!!) ;)
If you have questions about the band program, our booster board is ready to help. A complete contact list is available on the website.
We hope your child will find band to be an exciting and fun experience! I'm looking forward to a Fun Year!

Parent Band Night ~ All Band Parents
Thanks to all of the parents who attended the Band Night—the meeting provided great information and also introduced everyone to our Cario Band Program. Please let us know if you have any questions!!
Letter Writing Campaign
Just a reminder that tomorrow starts our Letter Writing Campaign. Students should come to class tomorrow with their address sheets completed. This is our most important fundraiser of the year and provides tremendous support for the growth of the program. No instruments are needed except for the 8th Grade Jazz Band.
Donations and Corporate Matching
I had a few people ask at the Parent Band Night about making donations themselves. We greatly appreciate this generosity in supporting our program. If you do make a donation, please check with your employer to see if they provide Corporate Matching—some companies will also donate to our program that same amount! What another fantastic resource!!
We have had a tremendous interest in our Cario Lessons Academy (our private lessons program). Please return your forms asap to reserve your spot. This is not mandatory but does provide additional assistance for our young musicians.
New Family Welcome Breakfast
We will be holding our New Family Welcome Breakfast on Saturday September 9th and we are so fortunate that Burton's Grill will be hosting this event for us. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet other families that are new to our program. Our 8th graders will be working hard to make sure you have a fun time—serving food, drinks, etc. It is also a chance for your student to chat with the 8th graders about the Cario Band and provide some insight on what to expect this year. Forms will be coming home for you to sign up With that being said, we will be sending a sign up this week for the 8th grades to select jobs—we may of course have to shift people around. We will also need some of our 8th Grade Parents to sign up as well. No better way to get those volunteer hours completed!!!
