New Family Welcome Breakfast
We still have times available for families to attend the breakfast and lots of spaces for the 8th graders to sign up for jobs (links are below)—please email the Events team at events@cariobands.org with questions….below is the info sent last week as a reminder…thanks Candie and Norma for the updates!
The Cario Band Booster's Annual Welcome Breakfast has been rescheduled for October 21st at Burton's Grill. We appreciate your patience as we have been working to get this wonderful event back on the calendar.
We invite all of our new band families to come out and join us for a delightful pancake breakfast. It is a great time to meet others in the band and ask questions about Cario Band. To RSVP for the Breakfast click on https://goo.gl/forms/3L7J6SpjFW1APFCJ2 RSVP is required by October 18th.

It is sure to be a fun time for everyone AND after breakfast, be sure to head over to Sullivan's Island for the Beach Sweep!
Please note we need everyone attending the breakfast or volunteering to signup using the revised forms. We did not automatically transfer attendees or volunteers who signed up before over to the new date.
Beach Sweep
As you know, our annual Beach Sweep will be on Saturday October 21st—the scheduled time is between 9am-12pm. It seems after talking with people, that we typically don't take that long. An email will be coming to you with additional information from our Community Service Chair, Jenny Norman…and I said before, no better way to end your pancake breakfast than with a little time on the beach. Actually, I think any time on the beach is pretty cool….
Fundraising
COUPON BOOKS—VERY IMPORTANT!!
First of all, a great job by everyone with the coupon book orders! We had a tremendous effort by our families with this fundraiser. There is one housekeeping item for any out of area sales. If you had an out of area order for a coupon book, you needed to include an email address for those purchasers. If you had out of area sales, please contact Liz Potter at fundraising@cariobands.org to correct the orders(which was pretty much all of them). You need to contact her by 5:00pm this Tuesday October 10th to correct the orders. If she does not hear from you, a coupon book will be sent directly to you so you can forward it to the appropriate person…
Pie Sales
Here is some info for our Holiday Pie Sales lead by Diana Rath…..I know I look forward to these arriving (YEAH BUDDY!!)…..those of you who are new to this are in for a treat! A super easy way to visit family on the holidays with pies and not having to do the baking!! They are YUMMY!!!
The Cario Band Holiday Pie Sale will start October 13th through October 27th. Everyone loves pie for the holidays so this makes an easy fund raiser for the band students! All pies are $14 each and profits from the sales are applied to the students individual accounts to help with FSA and spring trip expenses.All pie orders must be turned in October 30th. Pies will be delivered on November 15th to Cario and will be available to pick up after school that day. Volunteers will be needed to help sort the pies and distribute them. More information for volunteers will come later. Band students will be given pie order forms and information on Friday, October 13th.
7th and 8th Grade Uniforms
