Concert and Rehearsal Policies

  • All band students are required to attend all sessions of any honor band for which they are selected. It is the responsibility of those who are selected to not waste a chair that another student would have gladly accepted!
  • All students are expected to be on time -- that means seated and ready to play! -- for all sessions of any clinic.
  • Students are expected to abide by all policies for conduct, attire, and performance as set forth in the Cario Band Handbook.
  • Students are not allowed to leave the clinic site at any time, under any circumstances.
  • In emergency situations, Mr. Scott must be personally contacted at the site before the student will be released. Students who are removed from a trip without Mr. Scott's knowledge and approval will not be eligible to travel with the Cario Bands program in the future. This speaks to the issues of liability on the part of the Director, and more importantly, the safety and security of our students.
  • Students who do not dress in full uniform, as stated in the Handbook, will not be allowed to perform and will not receive credit for the event.
  • Parents must drop off and pick up students in a timely manner. Please realize that event schedule times are "real" times, as we say in rehearsal. Clinicians need all students from all schools to be present and prepared at the beginning of rehearsals. This means seated and ready to play at the appointed time! It is equally important to be timely at the end of the day. Event staff must remain on-site until the last student has been picked up. Please adhere to the event schedule, and if you have a conflict, make prior arrangements to transport your child.
