A Note from the Directors:

Chair Placements for 7th & 8th Grade were announced in class. We are seeing great results! Many students have shown improvement from last year due to their work ethic and at home practice. There are a number of students who are just one step below being lead players. With just a little more encouragement, they can become this year's stars. As with any program there are also a few students who are struggling and scored below the mark. We will send emails to students with information on how to step up to the next level and feedback on how to help those students who are struggling.

We want to thank our parents for your continued support. Great results only come when parents partner with their student to do the work that is necessary to be successful.

Practice Charts: The students are doing a great job turning in Practice Charts. The 7th Grade Brass Class gets a shout out this week for turning in every chart with their name and parent signature. The 6th Grade did extremely well for the first time turning in charts with only 6 charts missing information. There was also a huge improvement in 7th & 8th Grade charts since the beginning of the year. Keep up the good work!

CCSD Field Trip Form – Due Thursday, October 18th

CCSD is requiring parents who want to chaperone for our spring band trips to complete a CCSD Field Trip Form. We do not know at this time how many chaperones we need for our trips; however you can't volunteer if CCSD doesn't have your form on file by Monday, October 22nd. Completing this form doesn't commit you to nor is it a guarantee that you will chaperone. Some years we don't have enough parent volunteers and some years we have an overwhelming response to chaperone these trips. Mr. Scott will choose chaperones based on the needs of the band.

Once we receive your form, you will be added to our "Chaperone Group" in our database and sent a confirmation email. If you don't receive a confirmation email by Thursday, October 18th, please contact Caragh Caddell immediately at vice-president@cariobands.org. We will begin working on the Florida Trip Chaperone Team in January and the Carowinds Team in late February.

  • CCSD Field Trip Form and Spring Trip Dates:

Select the specific trip and print out the CCSD Field Trip Form below. Print your name at the top and sign and date the first section. Don't complete the second section for "Transporting Students in your Vehicle", as this doesn't apply to any of our trips.
