Note from the Directors
- Congratulations to all of the band students. Everyone worked very hard and you did a great job at the concerts!
- Just a reminder that there are SmartMusic assignments due for all grades. 6th grade assignments are due on Thursday, December 19th and 7th & 8th grade are due January 14th.
- Reminder for selected 7th & 8th graders (and a few 6th graders) that Region Auditions are Saturday, January 12, 2013. Students are strongly encouraged to practice over the break in order to be successful in the Region Auditions.

"Quarters for our Porters ... Shhh - this is a surprise!"
Please remember to bring in your quarters, change or bills this week. We are collecting through Wednesday! We would like to show our thanks to Tim and Alex with a gift card for the holidays. Please consider dropping "Quarters" in the Band Room Jar (please no checks).
Spirit Wear Orders
The spirit wear orders (hoodies and sport bags) are in. They will be going home on Monday and Tuesday (December 17th & 18th). For those of you that requested your order for the holidays, Hallie Knudson will have your order in the front office on Tuesday, December 18th from 8:05 - 8:30 am. Please contact Hallie (206-406-9319) to arrange an alternate delivery.
Winter Class Parties
We are having Winter Class Parties in each class on Thursday, December 20th. Requests for volunteers were emailed by grade to bring in food and request volunteers to help, so please sign up on-line.
Fundraising
- Fruit Delivery
We discovered last week that a customer had not received their fruit order. They refused to request a refund, because they enjoy supporting our band program. Please remember that the fruit was delivered at the peak of ripeness, and they will quickly begin to mold. If you haven't delivered your fruit, please do so immediately. - Florida Fundraiser
If you are not going to sell your Wando Harmony Cards, please return them on Wednesday, December 19th. We will send out an email if we get an opportunity through Wando Bands to sell cards at Harris Teeter or Publix. Remember these cards are great teacher and holiday gifts. Please let us know if you would like to sell additional cards.
Reminder: When returning money and unsold cards, please complete the Harmony Card Return Form in the envelope provided to ensure that we properly account for your cards.
All-County Band Master Class
Every Student that Auditioned for All-County is invited to attend the "Master Class". Students are highly encouraged to attend, however, this is NOT Mandatory. Details and information for the All-County Master Class is on our website.
