Community Service:
Toys for Tots Collection Drive:
Monday, Nov. 30th to Friday Dec. 11th
What it's about: The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community in which the campaign is conducted.
Participation Details: There will be boxes for collecting toys outside the band room. Please send in a new, unwrapped toy (purchase price of your choice) and place in the box outside the band room. Please fill out the community service form and send in with your toy donation. Toys will be delivered to a drop off location by the Community Service chair during the week of December 14th.
6th Grade Concert:
The 6th grade band will have their first concert on Thursday, December 10 in the Cario gym. The concert begins at 7:00. Student call time is 6:15. THE CONCERT IS MANDATORY AND IS A GRADE!
In order to prepare for the concert, we will have a morning rehearsal on Tuesday, December 8. Students need to be at Cario at 7:00AM. They can be dropped off in front of the gym, and students can enter through the back of the building by the cabanas. THIS IS A MANDATORY REHEARSAL FOR A PARTICIPATION GRADE.
6th grade concert attire: Black pants from Stagecoach. Black band polo. I know there are a lot of students that have not received their shirt yet. They will get it soon. Parents are responsible for getting the pants. Stagecoach knows which pants to give you, just tell them you are with the Cario Band.
7th Grade Concert:
The 7th Grade concert will be on Monday, December 7th in the Cario Gym. The concert begins at 7:00. Student call time is 6:15. Concert attire is tuxedo for boys and black dresses for girls.
8th Grade Concert:
The 8th Grade concert will be on Tuesday, December 8th in the Cario Gym. The concert begins at 7:00. Student call time is 6:15. Concert attire is tuxedo for boys and black dresses for girls.
Box Tops:
Thank you to all who sent in Box Tops for our fall collection. Just for sending in Box Tops the band will recieve a check for $522.90. We will be doing another contest in the spring so go ahead and start saving them now. We will try to give you more notice next time before we do the contest. Here are the winners:

Uniforms:
Hopefully most of you (in 6th grade) now have your shirts after we passed them out on the Thursday before Thanksgiving. If you still are in need of a shirt or tuxedo or dress please email me one more time and someone will set up a time to meet with you and get that taken care of. Thank you!
