Important Dates:

Tuesday, May 17th - Cario Band Honor Concert - 7:00pm (call time for 6th grade 6:15 in Band room, 7th and 8th grade 6:30 in the Chorus room)

Thursday, May 19th - Wando 8th Grade Parent Orientation-6:30-8:30 pm in the Wando Band Room

Monday, May 23rd - 7th and 8th Grade students bring in uniforms (to Band Room)

Thursday, June 2nd - Cario Band Beach Bash - 2-5 pm at IOP County Park

The Cario Band Honor Concert:

is this coming Tuesday, May 17 at 7:00PM in the Cario Gym. The 6th Grade Band, 7th Grade Band, 8th Grade Jazz Band, and 8th Grade Band will be performing. We will be giving out Honor Medals as well.

6th Grade Students: Arrive at 6:15. Get your instrument out, leave the case in the band room. Find your seat in the concert set up. You perform first. We will warm up in the gym.

7th and 8th Grade Students: Arrive at 6:30. DO NOT COME EARLY! We need to get the 6th grade out of the band room before you arrive. When you arrive, get your instrument out, leave your case in the chorus room. Then go sit in your designated area in the bleachers.

6th Grade- wear your black cario band polo and your black pants (from Stagecoach). Same uniform as the Holiday Concert
7th and 8th Grade- wear your concert uniform (tuxes and dresses)

We are looking forward to a great concert!

7th and 8th Uniform Check-in:

Uniforms may checked-in starting Monday, May 23, 2016
Wash uniforms in COLD water and Dry on low heat or hang to dry. They MUST be washed before returning. They can be dry-cleaned, but the washing machine works just fine.
DO NOT wash the cummerbund or bow tie!
Please send your child's uniform on a hanger.
Fill out the Uniform Check-in Form (posted on our Website Welcome Page) with your child's first and last name, their band class, and pin this to their uniform. There are some blank forms outside the band room if you forget. We MUST account for everyone's uniform.

Cario Band Beach Bash

The Beach Bash will be Thursday, June 2nd from 2-5 pm at the IOP County Park. We will have a Moe's Buffet. The cost is $7 per person and the form and payment must be returned by Friday, May 27th. This is not a drop off event. Students must be accompanied by an adult. Looking forward to celebrating a good year!

Cario Band Booster Year End Financial Review

We are required by our Insurance Carrier and as a Corporation to complete a Yearly Financial Review (not an audit). We need 2 - 3 volunteers willing to be our Financial Committee that will have a student in the band program in the Fall.

This is scheduled in July by the Financial Committee and takes approximately 1 1/2 hours. The President and Treasurer provide you with all the information you need to accomplish the task and are available by phone to answer any questions. You follow a five page check list and answer yes, no, or does not apply, and provide any necessary feedback or recommendations to the Board. You receive your 3 Hour Band Volunteer Commitment for the 2016 - 2017 school year. It is truly as simple as that!
