From the President
Happy New Year Cario Bands! We have a great spring semester ahead of us! All of the bands will focus on special performances coming up - the 7th grade band is performing at the SC music educators convention in February, both the 7th and the 8th grade bands will gear up for Concert Festival in March, and the 6th grade band will gear up for their festival performance at Carowinds in April. Toss in Region Band and All-State Band auditions and festivals, add a dash of Jazz Band and Percussion Ensemble, and let it all simmer for several weeks at 98 degrees - voila! To finish our smorgasbord of band music, we'll serve up a sizzling spring concert with all of the groups - you don't want to miss that one! I'm looking forward to a great semester, and I'll see you at the concerts!
Spring Lessons Academy Information
Lessons Academy registration forms will come home this week - and you can always find them on our website (see the link below). The forms MUST be returned to the directors WITH the $50 registration fee by January 11th, 2017. The Spring session begins on January 11th!

Volunteer Opportunity In The Storage Room
If you're looking for some additional volunteer hours, we need help breaking down and boxing up the Christmas trees. They are currently in the storage room and we need the space! Please email me (or either of the directors) if you can help.
Region Band Auditions, January 7th, 2017
If your child signed up for Region Band auditions, then this is for you! Auditions are THIS SATURDAY, January 7th, 2017 at Summerville High School. A 'Region Band Audition Checklist' is available on the Cario Bands website, and the checklist provides you everything you need to help your child be successful. The only piece of information not included on the form is your child's audition time. Those are posted in the band room, and your child should have that time burned into their brain by now. If not, please email the directors.
