From the President
Lots coming up in the next two weeks, so pay close attention - we have an 8th grade after school rehearsal, a 7th grade AM rehearsal next week, and it's almost time for the spring concert! Before that, I must say WOW for all the books donated! The Cario Band family donated 22 boxes and 7 bags full of books to the Book Angels group - I think that's a record! Bravo to all of you that participated!
Instrument Testing - Make Up Day -
Thursday May 11
The Make-Up 5th Grade Instrument Testing night is THIS THURSDAY, May 11 from 4:00-6:00 PM. Please spread the word! We had a HUGE turnout for instrument testing last week.

8th Grade After School Rehearsal -
Monday May 15, 3:30 - 5:30 PM
The 8th Grade Band has an AFTER-SCHOOL rehearsal next Monday, May 15 from 3:30-5:30 PM. Please make sure your 8th grade musician is present!
7th Grade Early Morning Rehearsal -
May 16, 7:30 AM
The 7th Grade Band has an EARLY MORNING rehearsal next Tuesday, May 16 at 7:30 AM in the Cario Band room. Please make sure your 7th grade musician is present!
Honors Concert -
May 16, 7:00 PM
The final concert of the year is May 16 and 7:00 PM in the Cario Gym. Each band (6th, 7th, and 8th) is featured on this concert, and we'll also honor all of the award winners for the year. We will also conduct a short (I promise) Band Booster business meeting. Please make plans to attend!
Beach Bash -
June 2
The Beach Bash is our annual celebration held on the last day of school. This year CCSD added an extra half-day of school on Monday June 5, but we are keeping the Beach Bash on June 2 as previously scheduled. It will be at the Isle of Palms County Park from 2:00-5:00 PM. Cost is $7 per person. An information flyer will come home this week with your musician, and I'll have it posted on our website on the FORMS page. A volunteer sign up link will come via email later in the week, so look for that. The deadline to pay is May 29, so act quickly!
