New Family Welcome Breakfast
The Breakfast is this Saturday October 21st at Burton’s Grill. The last day for Sign-Ups will be this Wednesday October 18th so get those reservations in if you’d like to attend!! And as always, please mention that you are part of the Cario Band when you go to Burton’s….we want them to know we appreciate their support!!

Beach Sweep
And the Beach Sweep will be this Saturday October 21st as well---hope you can make it. I’m not sure of the temperature but if it’s like last week, it will feel like a summer day!
Fundraising
Coupon Book Orders have been sent—the books should arrive in about a week and the books will then be distributed to the students the following week. Please remember that we are estimating this time frame…
Pie Sales
Last week, I was completely shocked to have a couple of people tell me that they didn’t read these emails completely (imagine my surprise?!?!?) ;) Just in case you missed this info last week, here it is again….
The Cario Band Holiday Pie Sale will start October 13th through October 27th. Everyone loves pie for the holidays so this makes an easy fund raiser for the band students! All pies are $14 each and profits from the sales are applied to the students individual accounts to help with FSA and spring trip expenses. All pie orders must be turned in October 30th. Pies will be delivered on November 15th to Cario and will be available to pick up after school that day. Volunteers will be needed to help sort the pies and distribute them. More information for volunteers will come later. Band students will be given pie order forms and information on Friday, October 13th.
Uniforms
We do have a several student who need to get T-Shirt sizes to our Uniforms Team—please ask your student to get with Mr. Scott or Mrs. Mumford if their size was not submitted.
Box Tops
We are having a Box Tops Contest!! Prizes will be given to the student with the most Box Tops per Band Class!! By the way, did you know that each box top gives our band $.10? And we all have items we use that have Box Tops!! That’s some easy money that adds up fast!! These must be turned in by Friday October 20th
Please make sure to include: Student’s name
# of box tops
Band Class (6B,6W, 7B,7W,8)
8th Grade Wand Band Night
Just a quick observation at this past Friday’s 8th Grade Night with the Wando Band….it was so awesome to watch all the 8th grade middle school kids perform with the Wando Band. And it was especially awesome that there was a Sea of Blue on the field with our Cario Band Shirts (and those that know me really well know what that really means—LOL)! All the 8th Graders did a fantastic job and from what I heard, the kids really enjoyed spending the evening with the Wando Band!
And speaking of the Wando Band, there will be a Community Performance next Saturday October 21st at the Wando Football Stadium. Gates will open to the general public at 6:30 and the program will begin at 7:45. And remember, your student can use one marching performance in their concert requirement…..
