From the President ~ Welcome to Cario Bands 2017-2018!
A quick update as we are heading into November—can’t believe how quickly the year is moving! I wanted to say thanks to everyone who attended the Halloween Concert last week—it was great seeing all of the costumes!

6th Grade Smart Music due Sunday November 5th
7th and 8th Graders have a unit of Smartmusic scales and sight reading they need to be studying
The Fall Recital will be performed by a small number of 7th and 8th grade students. More details will follow…
Fundraising
Thanks to everyone for all of your hard work with the Pie Orders…these should be delivered prior to the holidays. Pick up information will follow once the pies are delivered….
Hoodies and Garment Bags
Order forms went home last week for Cario Hoodies and Garment Bags. These are a really cool way for students to show their Band Pride and of course really useful. We do actually get a little bit of cool weather for the hoodies (of course with last week you wouldn’t know) and the bags work really well on our trips. Orders are due on Friday November 10th—please mark your calendar with this date. Please email uniforms@cariobands.org with any questions.
December chair tests--7th and 8th grades
Information was sent last week also about the December chair tests, which is the big one for the year. It serves as a replacement for the All County auditions which was cancelled two years ago. Please see last week’s email for more information---one change from last week is that the Percussion Chair Test will be on Monday December 4th with the Brass Section
