6th Grade Band received straight Superiors for their great performance at Carowinds...many thanks to Amy Rankin and all our great chaperones for making it a terrific trip!!
Angel Book Drive
An email was sent last week regarding the annual Cario Band Angel Book Drive. The dates are April 28th thru May 12th and books can be dropped off at the Band Room. If you have any questions, please email communityservice@cariobands.org
Solo and Ensemble Performance
The Solo and Ensemble Performances will be held on Friday May 3rd at Cane Bay Middle School (an email was sent with this information on April 3rd). There will be a Spring Recital on Wednesday May 1st for a practice run in the Band Room---this is a change from the original message due to the number of people who signed up. First recitals are 6pm; 2nd recitals are 7:15pm. These can be used for concert credit and Mrs. Mumford will send out the schedule on Monday.
Instrument Testing Night
Our Instrument Testing Night will be on Thursday May 2nd for rising 6th Graders…many of our students will be assisting that evening. The Directors will have already discussed with those students who will be assisting so you will need to speak with your son or daughter to find out if they need to be there.
Wando Jazz and Percussion Concert
The Wando Jazz and Percussion Concert will be this Thursday May 2nd at 7pm at the Wando PAC. This is an opportunity for Concert Credit and a really fun evening!
